Chucking Flies - One Fly Fishers Journey by Doug Porter

Doug has been fly-fishing since he was 12 years old and has chronicled much of what he has learned in this book.  His journey spans over 7 decades detailing what he has learned, the source of his knowledge from friends and family members in addition to two of his mentors who helped him progress, as well as books that inspired him.  He shares with readers many of the tips, tricks and patterns that have proven productive over those years.  He has chosen to pass on much of what he has learned through fly fishing and fly-tying courses since the 1980s.  He has also been a fly-fishing guide in the interior of BC since 1998. “Chucking Flies” was written to not only inform, but also to inspire those on their own journey to protect and enhance the fisheries resource they hold dear.
